ORA-01092: ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced

    The instance you were connected to was terminated abnormally, probably via a shutdown abort or a crash.



    Best thing to do is to have a look for trace files in the background_dump_dest and check the alert.log in the same location.


    You might find a trace file for the smon or pmon process indicating the real problem (eg. cleanup lock conflict, ...).


    You'll have to restart the database:

    Connect using SYSDBA and issue the startup or startup force command.
